Battle of the Brains at Xplore USA as International Students compete for Let's Explore Africa Quiz

Let's Explore Africa takes Miami!  Competition will be held at Florida International University on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. To attend or for detailed information about the competition please visit www.eventbrite.com

Let's Explore Africa will showcase at the 15th Annual Blue Ridge Classic Track Meet on Saturday April 22nd, 2017.  The Meet will be held at R. Dalton Stadium of A C. Reynolds High School.

The 2016/17 Let's Explore Africa State Championship was held on Saturday March 4th at NC State University, Poe Hall and the champions are:

Merritt Cogdill -  Level 1 Group State Champion  Aryan Nair -  Level 2 Group State Champion 

For the Level 1 Group (4th - 6th Graders):  Merritt Cogdill is a fifth (5th) grader from Joe Toler-Oak Hill Elementary School and is the Vice President of National Elementary Honor Society.

 His teammates and Honor Society members Alex Bridges came second (2nd), Alek Jenkins placed third (3rd) and Ethan Adcock earned the fourth (4th) place.

For the Level 2 Group (7th - 9th Graders) Aryan Nair is a seventh (7th) grader from Cary Academy, he is an avid reader.  

The two remarkable champions emerged winners after answering many difficult questions correctly.  We salute all the contestants for the courage and hard work of preparing for the challenging questions and enthusiasm about the event. 

Special thanks to NC State University for sponsoring the State Championship!  Much appreciations to Coach Elizabeth McCoy, Angela Cogdill, Bonita Apperson, the parents, relatives, as well as friends who came to support these students and ensured the success of our program!

 Let's Explore Africa Quiz Competition is going National  starting 2017/18 school year!  Please encourage and prepare your students to compete so they can advance to the National Championship Title.
